Retro Redrawn

Retro Redrawn is a community art project in which each participant submits a personal artistic “re-imagining” of a beloved, classic video game. Artists claim a section of the game world in the form of a screenshot, and then craft their own unique take on the scene. Each project has size and palette requirements in order to evoke the feeling of the original game, while keeping all submissions unified in presentation.

This project spans numerous games. It’s a fun exercise that allows the artist to explore a franchise they love while playing within hardware-inspired limitations.
